New QERM Faculty
QERM is always expanding its faculty to strengthen its interdisciplinary network. Over the past year, we added the following new faculty members who will bring additional expertise and opportunities for the QERM students. We are honored to have them join our community.
- Dr. Curtis Deutsch, Associate Professor, School of Oceanography. Research interests: Modeling connections between ocean biogeochemistry and climate from human to geological time scales.
- Dr. Dobromir Dimitrov, Affiliate Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Math. Research interests: Mathematical modeling of infectious diseases, evaluating impact of interventions for HIV prevention, mathematical biology (population dynamics, epidemic modeling), and dynamical systems (ODE, PDE, and impulsive systems).
- Dr. Sunny Jardine, Assistant Professor, School of Marine and Environmental Affairs. Research interests: Economics of conservation policy for marine and coastal systems, invasive species management, barrier island management, blue carbon conservation, biodiversity in fisheries, and fisheries markets.
- Dr. MarkĀ Scheuerell, Associate Professor, School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences. Research interests: Aquatic Ecology, Statistical Ecology, and Conservation Biology.
- Dr. Amy Willis, Assistant Professor, Department of Biostatistics. Research interests: development of statistical methods for the analysis of ecological data obtained from high throughput sequencing, with a particular emphasis on microbiome data.
